Union Assurance Study
on Saving and Retirement

Union Assurance in collaboration with Survey Research Lanka conducted an Exploratory Study on People’s Attitudes Towards Retirement Plans and Savings. The study aimed to uncover insights surrounding Sri Lankans, for the benefit of all Insurers and Policymakers to formulate the right way forward as we strive for economic recovery.
The findings reveal that most Sri Lankans consider savings important, but don’t save enough. Of 70% of respondents who felt saving for the future is extremely important, only 27% of them save an adequate amount, while 21% have no savings yet.
